IDSHS (Aust) Inc. want to thank everyone who has sent in a photo for the front cover of the calendar. All the photos are just beautiful and we are very lucky to have so many good looking Irish in Australia!
Congratulations to Jeannie Pearce. Your three mares are just gorgeous and very photogenic! We are taking pre-orders now for the Calendar. We hope to see them back just before xmas.....before New Years at the latest. They will be $20 each and can be paid for via our bank details found on our website in the memebrship section or via cheque. We are really looking forward to the Calendar and hope for it to be an anual item for years to come!! If you do order a calendar, can you please contact the secretary via email or FB to let her know Hi all,I may be crazy (or insane), but I am now taking expressions of interest for Victorian Inspections for Jan/Feb/March 2017
I am including members from NSW, ACT and SA as I do know (and already have) members from these states keen to attend the VIC Inspections. I know it can be a big drive, but well worth it, if there is a few coming down/over! Date(s) and Venue(s) yet to be confirmed. We have been considering Irish classes for the Werribee Summer Royal Breed Extravaganza in January. At first we were very keen to partake, however, looking more into this show, it seems that Werribee are only offering the venue (at a high cost) and we are to organise the classes, judges, prizes, entries etc. ourselves. The committee has now decided instead of going ahead with the Breed Extravaganza, we would be much better to hold an Inspection/ Registration day in conjunction with our own show! So, now we need a venue! If everyone could please forward their ideas on where we can hold the Inspection/Registration day in conjunction with Irish classes - led and ridden, it would be very appreciated. (Don't forget, I am a Queenslander, so have no idea where any of the venues are in Victoria, so I am relying on you!) I will be updating our Member's Only section of our website in the next few days and this is where we would like for you to put forward yours and your horses details. If you have more than one horse to register, please refresh the page and you will be able to do the next horse. etc. PRE-REGISTRATION If you need to organise pre-registration or DNA for your horse(s), PLEASE start organising this now!!! We do not want to get to the week of registration day(s) and still be chasing people for paperwork. This is your first and only chase up to organise your pre-registrations. It's a benefit to you, not us, to get your horse(s) organised! If you need to organise / renew your membership for 2016 / 2017 please email or message me asap. You will not be able to put your horse(s) details forward, if you are not a current member. Member's Only section is password protected. I know I am about to be bombarded, so bare with me if you don't hear back from me right away, but I will get to you! I am really hoping we can make this as smooth and stress free as the QLD inspections were. The new website is really proving to work! Kind regards, Ali Redman Secretary IDSHS (Aust) Inc. www.idshsaus.com 0432 530 003 Thank you to all who attended our QLD Inspection and Registration day at Cushavon Park Irish Draught and Sport Horse Stud on Saturday.
There was a lovely selection of Irish horses that came forward for registration and branding, and it was great to see such a mix of different Irish bloodlines!☘️ We were very fortunate to have Cassie, from CSteele Designs, bring her camera along and snap some awesome pictures! If you are interested in purchasing a photo of your horse, it is $10 a photo. Please do not use or share these photos on your own page without purchasing. Cassie spent the whole day with us and it would not be very nice to use these photos without paying for them! Cassie has also taken some great shots of our merchandise and we will be uploading these photos onto our website shortly. We hope everyone enjoyed the day! I will be sending out expressions of interest for Victoria very shortly, so keep any eye on this page, our website and your emails! PayPal: csteeledesigns@gmail.com $10 a photo https://www.flickr.com/gp/csteelephotography/6urA87 Just a quick message to let people know who are coming to our inspection/open day that the entry to Cushavon Park is off of Leach Rd onto JG Campbell Lane. The gates at the back of the property will be open for people to drive in and there will be signs on the road to direct cars and horse floats. We welcome everyone to stay for lunch! To help out with catering, it would be awesome if you could bring a plate to share around! We look forward to seeing everyone there and if you get lost, please contact the Secretary, Ali - 0432 530 003.
There is a lovely selection of Irish horses coming forward The stud will also be holding a small open day for the public to come in and view the horses that are currently out and about competing in QLD and NSW (Yes Bruce Almighty will be available for pats!) There will also be young stock available for viewing and hopefully a couple of new foals on the ground!! A great day out to meet other Irish Horse enthusiasts! We are fortunate enough to have a photographer coming along to the Inspection Day. Cassie of CSteele Designs will have her camera on hand taking snaps of the day, as well as merchandise that we will update the website with shortly. We will have merchandise available for purchase on the day, and order forms for anything that will need to be ordered in! We hope to see everyone there, it should be a great day! IDSHS (Aust) Inc. send their heartfelt condolences to Kammy Cordner-Hunt and family in Mansfield VIC, for the loss of their beautiful stallion Raffles ISH. Raffles leaves behind some great examples of the performance ISH and we will be sadly missed.

We are seeking all forms of photos - action, portrait, foals, riding, paddock etc. Hi All,
We are now asking for members to put forward their best photos of their horses to be included in a Calendar for 2017. We are after action shots as well as Stallion, Mare and Foal photos or any that you hold close to your heart. The calendar will be available for sale from December in our Merchandise section of our website. Make sure they are high resolution pictures and there are no watermarks if they are paid competition photos.....The more pictures, the better the calendar!! A great gift for your Irish friends for Christmas!! |
