🏅 IDSHS National Performance Awards - 2025 / 2026
From dressage to stockman’s challenges, from jumping to jousting! Every ride counts. Our Performance Awards Program is open to all financial members and recognises the achievements of Irish Draughts and Irish Sport Horses across all equestrian pursuits in every state and territory of Australia.
Annual Awards Cycle
- Award Year: 1 July – 30 June
- Entries Due: Weekly submissions encouraged. Final submission deadline: 15 June 2026
- Awards Announced: 1 August each year
How it Works
- Earn Points every time you and your Irish Draught/Sport Horse attend or complete an event.
- Bonus Points are awarded for top placings.
- Accumulate Points throughout the season to reach milestone awards and end-of-year recognition.
- Submit Your Journey via our easy online submission form.
Categories
- Open Division: For riders who compete at any level, including professionals, REGULARLY
- Amateur Division: For riders who do not compete regularly or earn regular income from riding, training, or coaching.
End-of-Year AwardsPresented to the top point scorers in each division:
Versatility Champion - Highest points across 3+ disciplines
Dressage Champion - Highest points in dressage
Eventing Champion - Highest points across HT/Eventing/Combined Training
Western Champion - Highest points across western or challenge events
Showing & Turnout Champion - For those excelling in the show ring
Youth Rider of the Year - Best overall under 18 years
Veteran Horse Award - For horses aged 18+ still competing with heart
Community Spirit Award - For exceptional effort, sportsmanship or advocacy
Winners receive a beautiful personalised rug, IDSHS merchandise, and special prizes!
Submit Your RidesAfter every event, complete our quick online form:
- Rider Name & Horse Name
- Discipline or Activity
- Event Name + Date
- Level (e.g. EVA80, Novice Dressage, etc)
- Result (if applicable)
- Proof (screenshot, link, photo of draw or leaderboard)
