Should you have any questions with regard to the requirements and costs involved in pedigree registering an Irish horse, or any other concerns, the Society's President, Secretary or Registrar will be happy to assist.

IS MY HORSE ELIGIBLE?
There are 3 important requirements as follows:
1. Age
Any Age - if you are ok with taking a DNA sample and microchipping a foal, you are able to begin the process.
2. Registration
All horses MUST be pedigree registered with DNA parentage verified and microchipped.

The horse must be the progeny of:

- A Stallion that is a minimum 1/4 (25%) verifiable RID or Class 1 or 2 Irish Draught blood
- A Mare that has a minimum 1/16 (6.25%) verifiable RID or Class 1 or 2 Irish Draught blood
- ALL verifiable proof must be by way of DNA (this means you may need to organise profiles of multiple generations if they are not already on file)
- Please contact IDSHS to enquire about other measures of proof.

Once our dates and locations are arranged, we will send you the necessary links to complete the required paperwork.
